Damn, I didn't know you were located that close to the city. Also, holy contrast.
Oh, and C7 fo sho. I've never driven a C7, but I have done the M3. The C7 still seems way more exciting of a car. But, that's just me.

Holy shit, never thought I'd see such unanimity for the Corvette. I'll also jump on that train, because familiarity!

M3
I'm trusting my gut on this one. Both are great cars and nearly as fun as each other, but I have a feeling the M3 will be fun more of the time than the Corvette would be.

Tough choice. I've driven an E92 vert and C6 targa.
Power - about the same but the M3 is like 800 lbs heavier and the Corvette has more torque.
Steering - M3 is nice and firm, Vette is borderline too light. The stiffer suspension options may fix this, the one I drove had the base suspension.
Handling - Vette has less body roll from being so much lower and wider, but the M3 feels a bit more precise.
Brakes - M3 has better pedal feel but the Vette is so much lighter it might stop better. Again, the one I drove was a base C6—Z51, GS, C7, etc have bigger brakes.
Shifting - M3 has better pedal placement, Vette has a better shifter. The M3's shifter is a little light with longer throws. Corvette's requires more effort but in a good way, and shorter throws. The pedals on the Corvette are a little too small and a little too far under the dash.
Noise - Stock, the M3 sounds better. The Vette just needs a better exhaust.
Ride - might have to give the edge to the Vette, it's actually quite comfy. At least the base one. M3 is still pretty plush for a performance car.
Room - no contest, M3 has room to spread out, Vette has juuust enough room to not feel claustrophobic.
Cargo room - Vette has way more space because of the M3's flippy hard top. But if you take the targa top off the Vette and store it in its brackets in the the trunk, you'd have to put other stuff on top of it, which isn't ideal.
Build quality - the C6 interior is like a mediocre rental car, which is at least better than the C5, but not even close to the M3. C7 is better I guess.
So......I dunno.

Yeah it's gotta be the Vette. It's actually looks a lot sportier and modern to my eye. And dat sound.

Really tough choice, but my heart belongs to the E92.

Practicality aside and going strictly for third cars fun status I would go with the Vette if it was a C7. C6 would be the Z06 only.
If I didn't have kids I could get away with the C7 as an only car, for the C6 I would want an additional car with a little more interior refinement. But the right exhaust on a Z06 is pure magic in my ears.
The E92 checks so many blocks and I adore my E90. Not many RWD sedans you can take to the track and embarrass people with a kid seat strapped in the back. Just upgrade the brakes and it is a real force to be reckoned with. The stock exhaust is a little quiet but a simple exhaust can mod or secondary cat delete really makes the perfect sound at WOT around 8300rpms bested by not much short of the best Marabello has to offer.
